I picked up this product while I was on the last threads of my sanity due to fruit flies in my apartment. The population when from 500 to 5 in a matter of a day and a half. I had been using bowls of apple cider vinegar, which worked some, but this really did the trick.
It does smell like vinegar, so be prepared for that. But your nose blocks it out after 5 minutes, and it’s honestly worth it to not have the bugs. While I am warding off future flies, if they ever come back, I will definitely buy this again!

after reading these reviews i can not imagine what i am doing wrong. i bought two jars and put one by the kitchen sink and the other in my bedroom which seems to be the two places that i see them the most i have had them open for two days now. when i first opened them you could tell by the smell that they were there. odor was very strong. the one in the kitchen by the sink caught less than 10 in the first 12 hours seems to have caught some more see photos taken after 48 hours and they no longer seem interested in it. the one i put in my bedroom i put by my desk since that is where they seem to be. my desk lamp is usually the only light on in the room which they seem to be drawn to. i sat and watched as they started to find the jar and go inside. that one did catch like thirty of them in the first 12 hours but as time past they seemed less interested in it and the odor has faded a lot i can no longer smell it. the photo of it also taken at the 48 hour mark. now one will fly to the jar even go inside to check it out but eventually looses interest and fly away. i can not imagine that they are doing any more good at the moment and i am back to using a fly swatter. thinking about trying a couple bug zappers and hang them where i see them the most. then turning out the lights in the whole house so the zappers will be the only light source and sit in the dark to see if they are effective. if i see that they are working the go spend a night at a hotel and hope that they do the job. a lot of people said the home remedy was not working but claimed this worked great. it did for about 12 hours and then stopped working for me. ratio of killed to cost was not worth it to me

I work with a bunch of guys who wash their dishes and let food go down the drain (no garbage disposal). Every summer we get fruit flies and I would make a trap with a jar, cider vinegar and a drop of Dawn soap, covered with plastic wrap and some holes. It always worked.
So, I decided to give a commercial trap a try. Bad choice. Aunt Fannie left me and my guys down! Trap caught zero flies. Not even attracted to it. There went $8. Aunt Fannie said to take it back to Walmart to get my refund. I think I'll dump Fannie's concoction down the drain and use the bottle for Mark's proven concoction.

It seemed like there was a colony of fruit flies in my apartment. I opened the bottle of Aunt Fannie's Fly Punch and put it next to my plant by the window, because that's where the fruit flies seemed to gather (and most likely lay their eggs). After not too many days the population thinned out, eventually disappearing.
BUT I kept the bottle of Fly Punch by the plant, because I knew that eggs would hatch and more fruit flies appear. That happened, though there were a lot less than the first batch. Still, I am keeping the bottle by the plant just in case another generation of fruit flies appears.
All in all, this has been a very easy and pleasant way to get rid of the fruit fly infestation that happened from my not disposing of properly the bag the fruit came in. (I remembered later that the pushcart with the fruit had a cloud of fruit flies hovering around it.) Hopefully I won't have the same problem next year but if I do, I will absolutely buy another bottle.

Didn't work at all unfortunately. I'm willing to accept we have some mutant fruit flies/gnats, but alas... it didn't work even a little. We've even moved it to different areas. My husband is wondering if it actually REPELLED them... it seemed like when the fly punch was by his desk, there may have been less flies around?
I'd still recommend the try. I know vinegar and some type of surfactant works *usually*

But, now I just crack open a jar of Aunt Fannie's magic juice for the fruit flies and pour myself a glass of wine for myself and relax. I'll still occasionally see a lone fly or two buzzing around the kitchen, usually when it's about time to change out the jar, but I never get the infestations I used to experience every year as long as I keep a jar of FlyPunch on the counter. Living in Southern California, I spend most of the winter reveling in schadenfreude - with my windows and doors thrown wide open to warm weather and sunshine, cackling internally at the rest of the country buried hip-deep in snow. But living such a glorious life under the cooling fronds of palm trees does have its drawbacks - namely FRUIT FLIES in my kitchen. I keep a clean kitchen - meticulous even - but those pesky critters always seem to be hovering around, of all places, my FRUIT!!! I have had to virtually swim through a swarm of the things to grab a banana. And, just between us, you inhale a couple fruit flies on your way to biting into a delicious apple, and you're going to start questioning the why's and wherefore's of your existence. So I needed a solution ... (Close my doors and windows, you say. No way, I live in SoCal. You close your windows, mine are staying open!) Along came AUNT FANNIE'S FLYPUNCH! I got a jug, popped the top, set it on the counter and let it do its work. In no time, my fruit fly problem was solved and I was eating apples and oranges and bananas with no fear of swallowing an insect. Plus, I didn't have to close my doors and windows to the keep the little buggers at bay. Also, to boot - according to the label, all of which is ingredients I can actually pronounce - it's good to know that I don't have to worry about my kids or pets being poisoned by some chemical-laden insect repellant. And, because of the naturalness of the ingredients, I'm going to convert all my cleaning supplies to Aunt Fannie's. Give 'em a shot - you won't be disappointed. Now for me, it's back to enjoying my SoCal weather . Ah, the life ... lovely weather, fresh fruit, and no more fruit flies ... sigh ...

We were desperate to find a product to reduce or rid our condo of fruit flies. We have, oddly, had mixed results with the two-pack of FlyPunch. I kept one and gave one to my daughter for her kitchen. I placed my open bottle near our sink, where I saw the majority of flies (probably seeking water), although they traveled around our unit. My daughter did the same, placing the bottle in a window shelf above their sink. In the first 24 hours, I saw several flies flying around and only one in the bottle - whereas in less than 24 hours, my daughter saw 20-30 little bodies in her "punch". I will see some flies hovering around the sink, going nowhere near our punch bottle. The only think I can think about this is that one bottle may have greater strength or aroma to attract the flies. I was ready to give up on this product until my daughter told me how well hers worked, in the exact same place in the house - where water and produce is. So I'm willing to reorder and give it another try. A constructive tip - this bottle should not be so tall, narrow and likely to tip over. It has to be kept where there is a lot of dishwashing and food prep. Both my daughter and I placed our Aunt Fannie's FlyPunch in short wide Ball canning jars, to prevent the tip over factor. Please consider a bottle-redesign.

There is only one way to combat fruit fly madness and Aunt Fannie's is it! The winery I work for has been using this product for many years and we are certainly loyal fans. Nothing gets the job done quite like this product. The packaging has recently changed and the only thing we would love that is not available is a screen of sorts on the top to keep the little suckers in if they get smart and try to get out before falling to their doom. Since the new look is similar to a spice jar, possibly a layer under the lid with a shaker style holes like a true spice jar. Otherwise, Aunt Fannie's is where it's at. Whether for a residential or commercial setting; do not hesitate to pick this item up.

I have a jar with holes in the lid, contains a little beer, piece of sausage and a little vinegar. Flys crawl in and die. Cost almost nothing. Paid $7 for your bottle of vinegar ya got me! Absolutely useless.
Deborah Rivera
This is my first time buying from your company. I really like the item a purchased.
Donna Williams
I've tried making my own fruit fly traps with soapy water and vinegar, but they never worked. I don't know what the magic ingredient is in this FlyPunch, but I'm so glad it works!
Erin Jackson
Just as the title suggests Fruit flies don’t stand a chance. This is the best investment that I ever made.
Meri Axinn
Sumiyah Bintraafi
Didn't work at all unfortunately. I'm willing to accept we have some mutant fruit flies/gnats, but alas... it didn't work even a little. We've even moved it to different areas. My husband is wondering if it actually REPELLED them... it seemed like when the fly punch was by his desk, there may have been less flies around?
I'd still recommend the try. I know vinegar and some type of surfactant works *usually*
Beth Belikov
I have had good results with this product. On my last order there was a problem with shipping and the Customer Service staff went above and beyond to resolve it.
Sally Spaderna
Seems to be working very well right away compared to the other traps we have tried making ourselves and purchasing.
Lynn Barr
I have fruit flies because of the food that my parrots eat. And can never get rid of them. This product is the only thing that I have found (and have tried every possible thing) that actually helped! Will definitely buy again.
Daniela De Simone-Kiss
I wanted this to work so bad, as I love all the products I have tried.. however, the lingering fruit fly in my office still goes everywhere but near the trap! I have had the issue for weeks, and the trap remains clean on my desk...
Diane Wargolet
I’ve tried a few others and even tried homemade but this brand is the best ,works and even traps tiny flies as well as the fruit flies.
Tam S
AF's fly punch is a necessity for eliminating fruit flies/gnats! This product is amazing to work so simply. It at first seems like those pests ignore the punch, but TRUST they inevitably fall in! I love that these are sold in packs because the bodies accumulate in a short time, and you will need to have another bottle ready for use. Will continue to buy!
Theodore Lehmann
I pour some in a small glass with part of a plastic sandwich bag on top. Secure with a rubber band and poke holes in the top. So the can get in but not out.
Bryn Hildyr
I bought the 6 pack to put them all over the apartment. We get a lot of fruit flies in the summer. All of them were filled with dozens of flies and our apartment is fly-free. Well worth it.
Robert Gabrielson
I was really skeptical ...any other fly trap always had obnoxious smelling chemicals so I didn’t think anything that had such a light reasonably pleasant smell would work but it did...100’s of fruit flies within a couple of weeks.
Valery Evans
I have been looking for something other than nasty fly strips to get rid of the many fruit flies that hoard around my produce. This product is wonderful! All the flies are in the FLY-PUNCH instead of around my produce. I am definitely purchasing more to have on hand and to give to my grown children for their kitchens.
Belinda Cisneros
We can have fresh fruit, without the gnats that we saw for 2 weeks already.
Joyce Chung
Seriously. Thank you for helping us tackle our pest problem. We now can actually leave fruit out and not have an issue. I've placed 2 traps strategically in the kitchen and love not having to worry about harsh ingredients ! We have Kombucha on tap in our offices- so will definitely be buying in bulk to combat the inevitable fly population.
Laura M.
Best product out there to control fruit flies! We use it in our warehouse. I would highly recommend this product.
Paul M.
Been using these for about 24 hours and already dozens of flies drowned or floating inside. I look forward to purchasing more.
Jackie T.
Counting the bodies as they stack up in the jar!!!!
Melanie G.
I keep my kitchen windows open most of the spring, summer and fall and fruit flies are a constant problem. After months of creating my own traps, I finally stumbled across Aunt Fannie's FlyPunch and I'll never go back! Love that they offer a subscribtion service so I never have to think about it. I just switch out the jars when they arrive each month.
Erika A.
After 3-4 days, a lot of the fruit flies had met their end in Aunt Fannie's punch!
I do have an issue with the disposal, as you can't pour the used product down the drain and have to call sanitary disposal company about the proper way to throw it away.
Lydia G.
I love my FlyPunch, I mean I really LOOOOVE the stuff. I can't tell you how many homemade remedies I've tried over the years, how many times I've thrown fruit away/taken out the trash/cleaned the entire kitchen only to find a cloud of flies back the next day. Thank you for making my kitchen a cleaner place, Aunt Fannie!
Diane W.
Best we have ever purchased. Looks great in kitchen because it looks like a spice jar.
Ryan K.
I was amazed on how great your product worked the first time I purchased a case about a year ago. My recent purchase is not working however. I have a fruit fly issue at my bar currently, put 2 bottles out and have caught 2 flys in a week. Did you change your formulation or do something different?
Matt
Tried ALL the home remedies (vinegar, wine, beer, funnels, etc.) and other products (Terro & Barmaid) and I can honestly say, after years of searching, FlyPunch is the ONLY product that has truly worked. Thank you, thank you, thank you Aunt Fannie's!
Sandra D.
I love Fly Punch Dive Jars. I have 5 cockatoos and a macaw. You will not believe how many fruit flies I had till I started using Fly Punch. It is great! Thanks for making such a wonderful product.

Ah, the life ... lovely weather, fresh fruit, and no more fruit flies ... sigh ...
Laura M.
Fruit flies are the worst. Seriously, the worst ever. Homemade concoctions weren't doing the trick, but luckily a friend recommended the FlyPunch and I am happy to share that within a couple of days, they were all gone! Aunt Fannie's website was super easy to navigate and the FlyPunch I ordered was shipped quickly.
Maribeth S.

Finally! A fruit fly product that works! I tried many home remedies and purchased products but this is the only one that truly works and works well.
Stephen W.
Checkout and order very easy and shipping was quick. Looking forward to the summer when we can use the FlyPunch
Tim M.
Bought it because it played a role in our fight against fflies last year. Hope it does the same this year, but just received it, so I don't know. Why do people send review requests so early?
Jerry D.
This was my first purchase of a product from your company. I have just received it yesterday, and have not tried it out yet, and therefore cannot comment on the product itself. Ordering from your website was easy enough and after using Fly Punch, assuming the results are good, I will order more.
Jennifer K.
Lots of flies have taken a fatal dunk in the Flypunch! Works great.
Darla G.
Aunt Fannie's flypunch is a must have -- it is safe and effective! It literally works like 'magic!'
Alicia Shao
I tried making my own vinegar fruit fly recipe and this product works, mine didn't.
Vicky C.
Fly Punch really delivers on catching fruit flies. I highly recommend this trap.
Joyce F.
This worked well to get rid of pesky fruit flies and also regular flies. I will buy again. Did not look bad sitting on counter either.
Edward O.
Catherine C.
Last year, I was having trouble with fruit flies and just couldn't get rid of them. I Googled "fruit flies," and one of the tips for eradication that said it worked every time was Aunt Fannie's Flypunch. I got some, and I will make sure to have some every spring, as soon as the farmers markets open! Every time I pass one of my open containers, I chuckle triumphantly, "Count the bodies!"
Lynne J.
Of all the ones I have tried, it is the only one that really works.
Joyce M.
Like the product. We have a winery...so lots of fruit flies. Aunt Fannies helps except for the weeks we are fermenting wine. BUT, I was so disappointed when you stopped sending bottles with the gray/black labels. I'm trying to be discreet around the tasting room. (Flies? Who us?) Your current labels are too commercial to hide. I actually over-wrapped one in a Deruta patterned for my kitchen, and thought, I wonder if they have sleeves to cover up the bottles...just a thought!
Chris Mcewen
My winery is covered in fruit flies from all the fruit and skins left over from harvest. This product has magicley cleared away the fruit flies from my office and the tastin room. PURE MAGIC
Mary T.
I am so happy to find a concoction that actually kills gnats/fruit flies! After days of having them fly around my head whenever I was sitting at my computer, I finally went on line and found Aunt Fannie's Fruit Fly Punch. I wish I hadn't waited so long before I made my purchase. This concoction really does the job! Thanks, Aunt Fannie's!
Liz L.
We've been using this for almost two years now at the brewery. It takes about a week or so to totally kill the existing fruit flies, but once it does they don't come back! I've recommended Fly Punch! to every bar manager I know. Works so much better than anything else I've tried!
Dana H.
I decided to give this a try after having another fruit fly season appear in my kitchen. I figured we had nothing to lose since our previous efforts never worked. FlyPunch couldn't have been easier to use. Just open and set out, then next morning I had NOTHING flying around my head!!! I would say atleast 80% of the flies were gone just like that. I will always have a FlyPunch handy from now on!
Mjuanita L.
I also made my own with Apple Cider Vinager and sugar....it worked as well, Thank you.
Sam C.
Love the Fly Punch. Had tried soap & vinegar myself and it worked, although slowly and with much odor. The Fly Punch had very little smell and was very effective. I give it an A+
Wesley C.
Had a pretty significant fruit fly problem that no home remedies were taking care of so we decided to try Aunt Fannie's based on our knowledge of the company during its time in Greenville, SC. Couldn't be more pleased with the product. Kudos to you guys!
Chris McEwen
i run a huge winery and frute flies are a big problem, not with Aunt Fannie. Works like magic
Jeff N.
Simple to use and the flies lived up to their name: Fruit Flies. They are fruits and have fled our nest.
Ingrid C.
We have been purchasing your products for two years now and in addition to be all natural, they work effectively in the winery and help tremendously in controlling the fruit fly issue we have during harvest.
Thank you,
Adam B
Have been using FlyPunch for a few weeks already this summer. Fruit flies popping up in my home out of nowhere. Didn't feel like dealing with making some DIY solution. Too mush hassle. FlyPunch works great. Thank you, Aunt Fannie's!
David Charne
My grandmother used to have a home remedy for fruit flies, but I don't have time to do this myself. Love having something safe that gets the job done!
