Are you packing your kids school lunch? Homemade PB&J, juice-boxes, and carrot sticks are a few of our fav lunchbox classics. Keep lunchboxes fresh and clean all year long with these easy tips:
1. Use a hot, soapy sponge to wipe out the inside vinyl of the lunchbox every other day or when there are messes.
2. Create a paste of 1/4 tsp Carpet Refresher (or baking soda) and water. Spread a thin layer on the inside vinyl of the lunch box and let sit for a few minutes. Wipe out with a sponge. This is great to do weekly or bi-weekly or for tough messes.
3. Q-tips are perfect for getting dirt and crumbs out of the corners or seams.
4. Make sure to let the lunch box air dry completely before storing or using again.
School is back in session! Which means stacks of books, papers crumbled in backpacks, lunch boxes on counters, and snacks scattered..everywhere. Here are a few tips to keep things clean and organized as we dive into this school year:
1. Provide bins or baskets with labels that can slide into cabinets or drawers (preferably in an entrance way space). Perfect for empty lunch boxes, notebooks, and pencils. This helps kiddos keep track of their items and keeps the clutter to a minimum.
2. Keep wipes handy in the car. They're perfect for easy, on the go clean-ups like wiping sticky fingerprints from door handles and windows.
3. Label everything! Add labels to coats, lunchboxes, backpacks, and books. We recommend color coding the label for each kiddo to easily organize belongings.
